Privilee Singapore review: The new fitness and wellness membership in Singapore I didn’t know I needed
Privilee Singapore is a fitness and wellness membership that arrived on my radar at just the right time. If there’s one thing that’s trending in Singapore, it’s the rise of fitness and recovery spaces. I’m all for this feel-good trend, but it can sometimes feel like a maze figuring out which places are worth visiting – and which classes are worth trying. Recently, I landed on an invitation to try out Privilee, and it quickly became my preferred way to discover well-curated gyms, classes and recovery spaces across Singapore. Here’s why…

What is Privilee?
At first glance, Privilee seems like a fitness booking app in Singapore. And while it’s probably the simplest way to describe it, this doesn’t quite scratch the surface of what it offers. Privilee’s membership includes access to gyms and fitness classes but also much more – including recovery venues, hotels and dining.
Perk alert: For a limited time only, you can try The Discovery Edit, a three-month package at $226 a month with access to all venues.
If you’ve been curious to explore Singapore’s fitness and wellness scene without committing to multiple memberships, read on for what my experience with Privilee was like.
The thrill of trying something different

Privilee nudged me out of my usual workout routine almost immediately. One of my first bookings was a boxing class at The Six Gym at Neil Road. Instead of spending an hour hitting the bag, the session mixed stance work, footwork, partner drills and combinations that kept things moving at a surprisingly fast pace (the warm-down segment was a whole ab routine!). It wasn’t the sort of class I would’ve booked on my own, but it challenged me in the best way.
This is one of the biggest draws of the app. With so many options under one fitness membership in Singapore, I found myself saying yes to workouts I would’ve otherwise scrolled past or hesitated to book. Another key benefit of the app is that you can build a dynamic and comprehensive weekly routine if you visit a bunch of different studios weekly.

Browsing the app also led me to discover hidden gems, like Grounded Spaces, a boutique pilates and yoga studio tucked away at the unassuming Orchard Plaza. I tried out yoga and pilates classes at this studio and am happy to report that the classes were well-paced, with friendly instructors who kept the atmosphere relaxed and encouraging. It was a calm, intimate studio that I’d probably never have stumbled upon if not for the app.
Hotel fitness spaces became my favourite part

What surprised me most was how much I enjoyed having access to hotel fitness and recovery spaces. Most of these venues are either not accessible to non-hotel guests or, if they are, that fact isn’t widely known – which means they are way less crowded than the typical gym, workout class, or wellness studio. And if you’ve ever walked into a gym only to realise you practically have the place to yourself, you’ll know there’s something oddly satisfying about it.
I visited one such hotel gym in the heart of Orchard Road with floor-to-ceiling windows and plenty of natural light, well-spaced equipment that never felt cramped, and recovery facilities such as a red light therapy room, an infrared sauna and more that were perfect for rounding off a workout.

It was more compact than a typical commercial gym. But what it lacked in size, it more than made up for with its elevated ambience – something I don’t often experience with most fitness or gym memberships in Singapore. The space was thoughtfully designed, right down to the plush lounge chairs by the locker room and the soothing aromatherapy scents that lingered throughout the space (I even purchased an aromatherapy scent from them when I left!).

Another find was a UFIT location accessible through Raffles City with a poolfront view. Tucked away within a shopping mall and hotel, it’s not somewhere I’d naturally think of heading for a workout if not for the Privilee app.

Arriving a little early gave me time to unwind at the al fresco seating by the pool, before trying out a core and mobility class that delivered just the right amount of burn – enough to feel worked, but not so intense that I couldn’t indulge in a spot of window shopping afterwards. It ticked all the boxes: a good workout, a convenient location, and the satisfaction of discovering another hidden gem in the city.
Know before you go
The only aspect that took a little getting used to was studio bookings. Unlike some fitness membership platforms in Singapore where classes are confirmed instantly, certain Privilee studio bookings can take up to an hour to be confirmed. In practice, this simply means planning a little further ahead rather than trying to secure a last-minute class on my way there.
That said, I also had a positive experience when one of my preferred classes was fully booked. The studio reached out directly and offered me a place in the following session instead – a small gesture that reflected the quality of partners on the platform.
On the flip side, venue access to some cold plunge studios, saunas, and gyms is extremely convenient, with no prior booking required. I simply showed my Privilee app at the reception and walked straight in.
Is the Privilee membership in Singapore worth it?

I’d recommend Privilee to people who enjoy variety and curated experiences. The price tag leans premium, but so do the experiences. I appreciated that the list of venues felt intentionally curated rather than overwhelming, introducing me to places chosen for their thoughtful design, atmosphere and hospitality.
Personally, I’d skip the one-month membership and take advantage of the three-month offer instead. It’s competitively priced and gives you enough time to explore the different venues before deciding whether it’s for you. If you’re already someone who regularly spends on boutique fitness or a premium gym membership in Singapore, the 12-month plan offers the best value.
Over the course of my Privilee trial, I found myself naturally building a more varied routine than I normally would. Gym sessions built my strength, boxing provided much-needed cardio, and pilates trained my core control. Plus, I’ve found that trying workouts at different locations gave me the perfect excuse to check out new cafes and shops in the area. Now, I’ll just need the discipline to keep up with all these different workouts on the reg…
